The first one was on the 105-yard # 7 at Emerald Hills GC in Redwood City, with a driver. The second one was on the 88-yard 8th at Deep Cliff in Cupertino. Juan Pablo started playing golf about two years ago learning mainly from his father, Diego, and from his coach Ron Sagara, who has been teaching him in junior classes at Foster City Mariners Point.
Juan's mother, Claudia Castro, said, "The NCGA Youth on Course program has offered Juan Pablo the great chance of practicing at great golf courses everywhere in the Bay Area. He loves to go to different courses and enjoys playing on the weekends with the family. Golf has become his favorite sport. He loves to follow his two favorite players Tiger Woods and Camilo Villegas. Belonging to NCGA and participating in his first league games at Mariners Point have represented a very exciting opportunity for him to grow loving this sport within an environment that supports kids, making it fun for them. This has inspired Juan Pablo to try to improve every day and develop life values through practicing this great sport."
