Helping the Golfers of Tomorrow!

Donna Lowe, CCM, General Manager of Lake Merced Golf Club discusses why she and Lake Merced GC support the NCGA Foundation and the Youth on Course program. Donna believes that investing in youth is critical to the development of our next generation. She challenges all Northern California clubs to support the NCGA Foundation through the Club Enrollment program.

If you are passionate about golf, your golf club can help young golfers realize their dream by contributing to the NCGA Foundation. The NCGA Foundation’s mission is simple. It strives to make golf affordable and accessible to all deserving youth in Northern California and uses the game, along with a life skills and core values curriculum, to help youth build lasting values.

The NCGA Foundation has made the dream possible for many Northern California youth through the generous donations from golf clubs. Our recent success with the San Jose Country Club shows the power of the program. The San Jose Country Club has enrolled 96% of its members in the program and raised more than $10,000. With the money raised, the Foundation currently provides youth across Northern California the opportunity to play more than 115 courses for $5 or less. For every dollar donated. $.90 goes directly into the Foundation programs.

The NCGA Foundation has an easy plan for clubs that want to participate. A club can do one of the following:

• Enroll its members in the Club Enrollment Program and using its regular billing process have each member donate $20.00.

• Host an event or golf tournament in which all proceeds go to the
  NCGA Foundation.
