Going Beyond Golf

Youth on Course Clinics includes:

  • A 20-week youth development and golf clinic program in which youth work with professional golf instructors at a local community golf course.
  • Age and skill appropriate golf activities and mentoring. Because of small adult-to-student ratio, adults can mentor youth in being respectful, honest, and hard working.
  • An educational curriculum that teaches life skills, core values, and nutritional education.

Going Beyond Golf has a positive impact on each player, and ultimately on his or her community. Your donations can help this program continue to grow.

The NCGA Foundation also provides deserving youth with introductory job opportunities within the golf industry. The Foundation works with NCGA member clubs to create jobs on the grounds crew, in the front office, as golf caddies, and in the restaurant for youth who would like to work in a golf environment. Youth learn responsibility while expanding their personal horizons and learning about a career in golf. For information, contact the NCGA Foundation offices.

Last year the Foundation’s scholarship program gave $10,000 in financial aid to deserving participants about to attend a four-year college or university. With a strong commitment to education, the Foundation plans to increase that amount annually by counting on its many generous donors.
